Window Shade Switch: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative(-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the floor console upper cover.
3. Remove the rear curtain switch connector (A) from the floor console upper cover.




4. Remove the rear curtain switch assembly after loosening the screws (4EA).






Installation

1. Install the floor console upper cover after installing the floor console upper cover switch.
2. Install the negative(-) battery terminal.

Inspection

Inspection of a rear curtain
Auto up/down function





Reverse interlocking function





** If a driver operates the rear curtain down by a rear curtain switch, the rear curtain doesn't do AUTO return.

Rear curtain switch inspection
1. Inspect the rear curtain switch terminal. If necessary, replace the switch.








2. Operate the switch and check for continuity between terminals.
