Dimmer Switch: Testing and Inspection

Inspection

1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the crash pad lower panel.

3. Remove the crash pad side switch assembly (A) as shown below picture.

NOTE:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.

4. Remove the rheostat switch (A) after disconnecting the connectors.

NOTE:
Take care not to damage the hook when removing the rheostat switch.

5. Operate the switch and check for continuity between terminals with an ohmmeter.
