Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Turn the ignition key off.
2. Disconnect throttle sensor connector.
3. Remove the 2 bolts securing the unit to the throttle chamber and remove the unit.

Throttle Sensor Adjustment:

INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT
1. Install the unit to the throttle shaft, aligning the flat area on the shaft with the flat area on the unit.
2. Install the screws and tighten slightly.
3. Reconnect the throttle sensor connector.
4. Start the engine and warm to operating temperature.
5. Connect a voltmeter to the sensor connector.
6. Measure the voltage across harness connector terminals "A" & "B".
7. Rotate switch to adjust output voltage to 0.45 to 0.55 Volts.
8. Tighten mounting screws.
9. Disconnect sensor harness connector for a few seconds and then reconnect it.
