This bulletin supersedes ITB00-029. Please discard previous copies of ITB00-029.

APPLIED VEHICLES: 2000-2001 I30 (CA33) with sunshade

SERVICE INFORMATION
If the rear sunshade on a 2000-2001 I30 will not retract or extend properly, use the procedures in this bulletin to repair and resolve the incident(s), should one occur:

Incident 1: The sunshade will not extend from the rear parcel shelf while pressing the console "UP" sunshade button or a "pop" noise is heard from the sunshade as it starts to extend from the rear parcel shelf opening.

Incident 2: The sunshade will not retract completely into the rear parcel shelf opening or the sunshade will not extend to full open position.

Incident 3: The sunshade will not retract at all from a fully up position (can be intermittent).

If one of the above incidents occurs, perform the appropriate Service Procedure below to correct:

Incident 1: Perform Section A Rear Parcel Shelf Service.

Incident 2: Perform Section B Sunshade Adjustment.

Incident 3: Perform Section C Adjust Sunshade Full Extend Position.

NOTE: These are the ONLY approved repair procedures for these incidents. A claim to Infiniti division for the repair of these incidents may be denied if the repairs are not performed exactly as outlined in this bulletin.
