Section A Rear Parcel Shelf Service
Section A Rear Parcel Shelf Service:Incident 1: The sunshade will not extend from the rear parcel shelf while pressing the console "UP" sunshade button.
OR
A "pop" noise is heard from the sunshade as it starts to extend from the rear parcel shelf opening.
Incident 1 Cause:
The rear parcel shelf may be improperly positioned from a previous service (i.e. window tinting service). Improper positioning of the rear parcel shelf may partially or completely block the path of the sunshade upper frame.
Rear Parcel Shelf Service:
1. Press the console "UP" sunshade button to verify the sunshade will not extend from the rear parcel shelf or that a "pop" noise can be heard from the sunshade as it starts to extend from the rear parcel shelf opening.
2. Verify the parcel shelf hold-down clips are fully seated in the parcel shelf by performing the following steps:
A. Measure 14 inches in, from the inside of the rear window on both the driver's and passenger's side (see Figure 1).
B. Press down on both sides of the parcel shelf where measured (on both sides of the brake light) to seat the parcel shelf hold down-clips (see Figure 1).
C. Press down to the left of the child tether anchor covers located on either side of the sub-woofer (see Figure 2).
3. Pull up on the parcel shelf finisher opening to ensure that the parcel shelf hold-down clips are fully seated and the path of the sunshade is not obstructed by the parcel shelf finisher or any other object.
4. If hold down clips will not remain seated after completing steps 2A-2C above, replace the sunshade holddown clips.
NOTE: You must remove the parcel shelf to access the hold-down clips. Refer to Section B Parcel Shelf Removal Procedure (steps 2-13D) for parcel shelf removal details.
