Meters and Gauges

METER/GAUGE RESISTANCE CHECK
1. Disconnect FPC connector. Refer to "Flexible Print Circuit (FPC)".
2. Check resistance between installation screws of meter/gauge after removing meter/gauge.




FUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT CHECK
- For removal, refer to "FUEL SYSTEM".
Check the resistance between terminals (5) and (4)




THERMAL TRANSMITTER CHECK
Check the resistance between the terminals of thermal transmitter and body ground.




OIL PRESSURE SWITCH CHECK
Check the continuity between the terminals of oil pressure switch and body ground.




VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL CHECK
1. Remove vehicle speed sensor from transmission.
2. Turn vehicle speed sensor pinion quickly with fingers and measure voltage across (2) and (1).

DIODE CHECK




- Check continuity using an ohmmeter.
- Diode is functioning properly if test results are as shown in the figure.

NOTE: Specification may vary depending on the type of tester. Before performing this inspection, be sure to refer to the instruction manual for the tester to be used.




- Diodes for warning lamps are built into the combination meter printed circuit.
