New Electronic Key Procedure

The following steps ONLY apply if all electronic keys are lost

1. Obtain new electronic keys.

2. Obtain, from the customer, the metal "Key Code" plate that was supplied with the original electronic keys.

3. Remove the emergency metal key from one of the new electronic keys.

4. Using the "Key Code" have the emergency metal key cut to fit the vehicle's ignition switch.

5. Verify the NATS software card is installed into the software slot of the CONSULT-II unit.

6. Connect the CONSULT-II unit to the data link connector under the dash.

7. Insert the emergency metal key (that you had cut) into the ignition switch and turn it to the ON position. You cannot start the vehicle with the metal key.

8. Perform steps 4 through 8 under "Registration".

9. When C/U Initialization is completed for IMMU remove the emergency metal key from the ignition switch and re-insert it back into the new electronic key that you removed it from.

10. Wait at least 5 seconds, then perform steps 10 through 16 under "Registration".
