Diagnosis Procedure





PEDAL ADJUSTING MOTOR


Description

- The pedal adjusting motor is installed to the pedal assembly.
- The pedal adjusting motor is activated with the automatic drive positioner control unit.
- The pedal assembly is adjusted forward/backward by changing the rotation direction of pedal adjusting motor.

Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, Automatic Drive Positioner Control Unit.
1. CHECK PEDAL ADJUSTING MOTOR POWER SUPPLY





1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Perform "Active test" ("ADJ PEDAL MOTOR") with CONSULT-III.
3. Check voltage between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace pedal adjusting motor assembly. Service and Repair.
NO - GO TO 2
2. CHECK PEDAL ADJUSTING MOTOR CIRCUIT





1. Disconnect automatic drive positioner control unit and pedal adjusting motor assembly.
2. Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and pedal adjusting motor assembly harness connector.





3. Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3
NO - Repair or replace harness.
3. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Intermittent Incident.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace automatic drive positioner control unit. Removal and Replacement.
NO - Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
