Dieseling, Run on

DEFINITION:

Engine continues to run after key is turned "OFF", but runs very roughly. If engine runs smoothly, check ignition switch and adjustment.

On engines with fuel injection, there should be no fuel delivery to the intake system when the key is turned "off". Engine should stop immediately when turned "off", if not then there is fuel leaking into the intake, check injectors for leaking.
