EGR System:

PURPOSE
The EGR system operates to lower combustion chamber temperatures and thus reduce oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emissions.

OPERATION
EGR operation occurs according to ported vacuum and exhaust gas pressure when the engine temperature is above 50° C.
