SERVICE INFORMATION

The transmission bearing remover (J-22912-01) is used during disassembly of the MUA transmission and manual transmission transfer case.

The position for the transmission bearing remover (J-22912-01) is incorrectly shown in 1988-92 Workshop Manuals for affected vehicles. The tool must be positioned so that the bolts are parallel to (not across) the blocks. Figure 1 shows the correct position for using the remover.
