Removal






NOTE: Remove battery ground cable

1. Air cleaner duct assembly
2. Accelerator pedal cable
- Disconnect from throttle body and cable bracket.
3. Vacuum booster hose
- Disconnect from common chamber
4. Connectors Disconnect from manifold absolute pressure, idle air control valve, throttle position sensor, power switch, electronic vacuum sensing valve.
5. Throttle body
- Remove four fixing bolts.
6. Vacuum hoses
- Disconnect vacuum hoses on canister Electronic Vacuum Sensing Valve (EVSV) and positive crankcase ventilation hose, fuel pressure control valve hose, Shift on the fly hose.
7. Ventilation hose bracket
- Remove fixing bolt on common chamber.
8. Exhaust gas recirculation valve assembly
- Remove three bolts on common chamber to disconnect backpressure transducer vacuum hose.
9. Bracket
- Remove three fixing bolts at backside of the common chamber.
- Remove fixing bolt at engine hanger bracket.
- Remove fixing bolt at auto transmission pipe bracket.
10. Common chamber
- Remove six bolts and two nuts.
- Remove the common chamber.
11. Fuel hoses
- Disconnect feed and return fuel hoses from fuel pipes, and remove two bracket fixing bolts on the cylinder head cover.
12. Connectors
- Disconnect connectors for each fuel injector.
13. Intake manifold
- Remove two fixing.
