Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect ground cable from battery.
2. Remove steering wheel as described in ``Combination Switch, Windshield Wiper Switch & Ignition Lock, Replace.''
3. Disconnect speedometer cable from speedometer and remove wing nut.
4. Remove cluster attaching screws.

5. Carefully pull the cluster rearward and rotate sideways, disconnect the round six and twelve pole connectors. Remove cluster, Fig. 15. On diesel engine equipped models, disconnect the harness connected to the speedometer reed switch at the connector.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
