(Sun Gear to Rear Ring Gear)
The sun gear shaft is available in two lengths (figure 1). Care should be taken when selecting the bearings and races so that they fit the application being used. The first design sun gear shaft is slightly longer than the second design shaft. The bearing and race assembly used with the first design shaft is thicker than the assembly that is used with the second design shaft. Figure two shows the configurations that are available.
If replacement of the bearing components are required, change them as a set. Output shaft end-play (when assembled) is 0.012-0.035 inch.
