SERVICE INFORMATION

The Tech I scan tool is an Essential Tool for all 1990 Isuzu models. The Tech I (Figure 1) can be used to read scan data for diagnostic operations on specific engine and transmission systems.

The Tech I Kit (J-38770) includes:
- Tech I Base Kit (J-38770-1);
- Transmission cartridge (J-38770-3) for reading the Trooper II (KT)V6 automatic transmission;
- ALDL adapter harness (J-38770-5).
A specific Isuzu engine cartridge is currently under development. This cartridge will read all 1987-90 Isuzu models with either Hitachi PFI or Delco PFI and TBI fuel systems. Planned release for this cartridge is March 1990.

Due to the increasing future diagnostic needs of Isuzu vehicles, the Tech I is an Essential Tool that is required at all dealerships. Kent-Moore will begin shipping the Tech I Kit to dealers the week of January 29, 1990.
