MAP Sensor

MAP Sensor Testing:

1. With engine at operating temperature, run at idle.

2. Disconnect vacuum hose "A" at MAP sensor and plug hose.

3. Connect circuit tester leads across terminals "1" and "2" at rear of MAP sensor connector. Tester should indicate more than 2.5V.

4. Reconnect vacuum hose "A." Voltage across terminals "1" and "2" should indicate less than 2.5V.

5. Replace the MAP sensor if voltage readings are out of specification.
