Trooper Models

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.

2. Remove the glovebox assembly.

3. Install the cruise control extension harness and OD cancel relay as follows:

In the engine compartment:

a) Remove the three 6 mm bolts securing the cruise control actuator bracket to the inner fender. Move the actuator out of the way. Untape the rubber grommet, located near the passenger side firewall.

b) Route the extension harness through the firewall at the grommet, with the pink/black, pink/blue and red/ black wires to the engine room.





c) Splice the extension harness pink/blue, pink/black and red/black wires to the wires at the 8-pin black C162 connector, matching wire colors.

d) Use new black electrical tape to retape the - rubber grommet.

e) Reinstall three bolts to resecure the cruise control actuator bracket to the inner fender.





In the passenger comparment, behind the glovebox:

a) Remove the cruise control module attaching nut.

b) Connect the 0D cancel relay to the extension harness brown connector.

c) Install the 0D cancel relay as shown, using the cruise control module attaching nut.





d) Install the extension harness brown wire in the pin 2 location of the 13-pin white C224 intermediate connector. This cavity is originally empty on the chassis side; the extension harness brown wire will mate to a brown wire on the module side of the connector.

e) Route the extension harness under the cruise control module.

4. Reinstall the glovebox assembly.

5. Reconnect negative battery cable.
