1990-91 Trooper II (KT) and Rodeo (UC) V6 models equipped with automatic transmission and cruise control before the following VINS:

Rodeo VIN M4316620


SERVICE INFORMATION

On some affected vehicles, when driving on hills with the cruise control engaged, the cruise control system may not allow the transmission to downshift out of overdrive.


To eliminate this condition, install a cruise control extension harness and a cruise control overdrive (OD) cancel relay as described in this Service Bulletin.
