TROOPER II (KT) AND RODEO (UC) CRUISE CONTROL POOR PERFORMANCE (This Service Bulletin supercedes SB91-04-008, to correct Trooper connector pin location.)


AFFECTED VEHICLES

1990-91 Trooper II (KT) and Rodeo (UC) V6 models equipped with automatic transmission and cruise control before the following VINS:

Trooper VIN M8916767
VIN M7913294

Rodeo VIN M4316620


SERVICE INFORMATION

On some affected vehicles, when driving on hills with the cruise control engaged, the cruise control system may not allow the transmission to downshift out of overdrive.


To eliminate this condition, install a cruise control extension harness and a cruise control overdrive (OD) cancel relay as described in this Service Bulletin.
