Timing Cover: Service and Repair

1. Remove water pump, refer to WATER PUMP.
2. Remove A/C compressor and bracket, if equipped, and position aside, then remove power steering pump bracket.
3. Disconnect lower radiator hose from front cover and the heater hose from water pump.
4. Remove remaining front cover attaching bolts and stud, then the front cover.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Clean mating surfaces of oil, water and old gasket sealer. Apply RTV and anaerobic sealer and install new gasket. Torque bolts and studs to specification.
