Oxygen (O2) Sensor
OXYGEN SENSOR REPLACEMENTCaution: The oxygen sensor may be difficult to remove when engine temperature is below 48°C (120°F). Do not use excessive force. Damage to exhaust manifold threads may result.
1. Disconnect electrical connector and carefully unscrew sensor from exhaust manifold.
2. The threads on new sensors are coated with anti-seize compound.
3. If the original sensor is being reinstalled, coat the threads with anti-seize compound.
4. Torque sensor to 41 Nm (30 ft.lb.).
5. Connect electrical connector.
