TECH1 and Accessories

TECH-1
Basic kit includes:

- Tech-1 J-38770-1 hand-held scan tool
- Tech-1 self-test adapter
- Manufacturer's operating instructions

The following items are accessories:

Battery Cable Adapter
This harness (J-38770-4) allows you to power the Tech-1 from the vehicle battery. Isuzu vehicles do not have power to the cigarette lighter during cranking.

Transmission Cartridge
The J-38770-3 cartridge must be inserted into the Tech-1 for 4L30-E transmission diagnosis.

Adapter Cable
The J-3877O-5 adapter cable connects the single Tech-1 vehicle connector to the two separate diagnostic connectors for the 4L30-E TCM.


DVOM
When instructed to use a voltmeter or ohmmeter within a troubleshooting procedure, use only a high-impedance DVOM such as J-35029-A or equivalent.
