SAE J1930 Component Acronyms

Starting with the 1993 model, Isuzu Motors Service Publications comply with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Recommended Practice J-1930. J-1930 is an industry-wide standard that was adopted into U.S. Federal regulations. It requires that certain electrical components and systems (and their abbreviations) be known by the same nomenclature throughout the automotive industry.

To comply with J-1930, some component names and abbreviations have been changed to SAE standard nomenclature. The following is a partial listing of the new component names and abbreviations, along with their former names (used in previous Isuzu service publications).
