Fuel Pressure Relief & General Information

FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF INFORMATION

1. Remove fuel filler cap to relieve tank vapor pressure.
2. Remove fuel pump relay from underhood relay center. Refer to Fuel Pump Relay Location in Electrical.
3. Start and run engine until it stalls.
4. Crank engine an additional 30 seconds.
5. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
6. Disconnect battery ground cable.

BRAKE FLUID WARNING

Do not reuse any old brake fluid, as it has contaminants and contains water, which lowers the boiling point of the fluid. Be careful not to spill fluid on any painted surfaces. If any brake fluid is spilled onto painted surfaces, immediately flood the area with lots of water.
