Removal and Installation
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Jack up the front of vehicle and support the frame with jack stands.
2. Remove Front wheels.
3. Remove assembly of disc brake caliper, hub and disc, back plate, knuckle, knuckle arm, and lower end.
4. Remove steering linkage.
5. Disassemble automatic hub.
6. Propeller shaft (2). Apply the setting marks.
7. Nut and bolt (3).
8. Washer (4).
9. Front drive axle assembly (5). Put the lifting jack under the center part of the front axle and remove the four fixing bolts. Lower the front axle assembly and roll it out toward the front of the vehicle. Take care not to damage the birfield joints or the double off-set joints.
10. Washer (6).
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Washer (6).
2. Front drive axle assembly (5). Place the front axle assembly in position under the vehicle using a lifting jack.
3. Washer (4).
4. Nut and bolt (3). Front Axle Mounting Nut Torque 15.5 +/- 1.5 kgm (112.1 +/- 10.8 lb. ft. / 152.1 +/- 14.7 Nm).
5. Propeller shaft (2). Align the setting marks applied at the removal. Bolt Torque 6.4 +/- 0.4 kgm (46.3 +/- 2.9 lb.ft. / 62.8 +/- 3.9 Nm).
6. Assembly of disc brake caliper, hub and disc, back plate, knuckle, knuckle arm, and lower end.
7. Front Wheels.
