Front Pads
1. Remove 2/3 of brake fluid from master cylinder.2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Mark relationship of wheel to hub and remove tire/wheel assembly.
4. Position C clamp around outer pad and caliper. Tighten C clamp until caliper piston bottoms in bore.
5. Remove mounting bolts and inspect bolts and sleeves for corrosion.
6. Remove caliper and suspend with wire to avoid damage to rubber brake line.
7. Remove inner/outer pads and retainer spring.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque mounting bolts to 37 ft. lbs.
b. Before moving vehicle, pump brake pedal several times until firm.
c. Ensure proper amount of brake fluid in master cylinder.
d. Burnish linings by bringing vehicle to complete stop from a 30 mph roll. Repeat 20 times.
