Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

1. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
2. Disconnect battery ground.
3. Remove wiper arm and blade assemblies.
4. Remove cowl vent grill and screen.
5. Disconnect electrical connector from wiper motor.
6. Remove transmission from wiper motor drive link using tool No. J 39232, or equivalent.
7. Remove three wiper motor mounting screws.
8. Remove wiper motor assembly.
9. Reverse procedure to install. Torque three mounting screws to 62 inch lbs.
10. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
