Backup Lamp: Description and Operation

Automatic Transmission
With the starter switch in ON or START, battery voltage is applied through the CB-14 BACK UP/TURN LIGHT fuse to the automatic transmission mode switch. With the transmission in reverse, the automatic transmission mode switch closes and battery voltage is applied to the back up lights and they go on.

Manual Transmission
With the starter switch in ON or START, battery voltage is applied through the CB-14 BACK UP/TURN LIGHT fuse to back up lights switch. With the transmission in reverse, the back up lights switch closes and battery voltage is applied to the back up lights and they go on.
