Use of the Haweka Flange Plate Adapter For Tire Balancers

Service Information

In order to acquire the full benefit of the Haweka Adapter, it is important to properly install the Centering Adapter and use the Flange Plate Adapter correctly when performing a tire wheel balance. When these adapters are properly installed, the effectiveness of the tire balance is greatly enhanced. The following procedure is highly recommended:





1. The base plate and the threaded shaft on the wheel balancer must be clean. (Figure 1)





2. Install the Centering Cone onto the threaded shaft. (Figure 2)

Note:
The final centering is only done with the Flange Plate Adapter.





3. Install the tire/wheel assembly and center hub onto the Centering Cone. (Figure 3)





4. Install the Flange Plate Adapter onto the threaded shaft. (Figure 4)





5. Install the Wing Nut and perform tire/wheel balancing procedures as described by the tire/wheel balancer manufacturer. (Figure 5)

Important:
Make sure that the Flange Plate Adapter remains properly positioned.
