SERVICE INFORMATION

In order to reduce damage to the front and rear seat assembly fasteners, the following procedures are recommended to enhance the current removal and installation procedures outlined in the Workshop Manual for the Axiom. Prior to the removal of the seats, the following procedures must be followed:

^ Expose all the seat fasteners for the front and rear seats

^ Loosen all the individual seat fasteners before removing any of them.

NOTE:
The individual fastener threads may become damaged if either of the rear seat fasteners for the front seats are completely removed prior to all four of the seat fasteners first being loosened. (DO NOT USE AN IMPACT WRENCH.) CAREFULLY FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE BELOW TO AVOID THREAD DAMAGE TO THE FASTENERS.

FRONT SEAT REMOVAL

To reduce damage to the front seat fasteners, follow the procedure below when removing a front seat.

^ Using hand tools loosen, but do not remove, the two forward Driver front seat fasteners. (Figure 1)
