AXIOM TORQUE ON DEMAND

AFFECTED VEHICLES
All 2002 Axiom Models equipped with the 4-Wheel Drive Torque-On-Demand System.

SERVICE INFORMATION

In order to clarify Workshop Manual Information regarding the operation and repair of the Torque-On-Demand (TOD) system, the following should be reviewed prior to performing any repairs on the TOD System:

^ TOD Data list is not currently available on the Tech 2.
However, voltages should only be obtained while the vehicle has the Parking Brake engaged, the transmission shift lever in Neutral only, and the foot on the brake pedal.

^ TOD codes cannot be read with the Tech 2; however all codes can be flashed. Jump pins # 8 to ground pins either # 4 or # 5.





^ The data shown is available and should be reviewed to confirm any TOD code(s).

^ The TOD shift motor position should only be checked while the transmission shift lever is in Neutral and the VOLTAGES will display on a DVOM at the C-37 of the TOD.

These voltage redings should he helpful in determining proper operation of the Axiom TOD System.
