Revised Mode Actuator Replacement Procedure (Service Manual Revision)

This bulletin is being issued to revise the Mode Actuator Replacement Procedure in the HVAC Systems with A/C Automatic sub-section of the Service Manual. Refer to the service procedure below when performing this operation.

NOTE:
Information released on paper and electronic format prior to bulletin release cannot be updated.

Service Procedure





1. Remove the left floor air outlet duct. Refer to Air Outlet Duct Replacement Floor, LH in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (see figure 1).

a. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mode actuator.

b. Remove the screws from the mode actuator (3).

c. Remove the mode actuator.





2. Install the mode actuator (see figure 2).

NOTE:
Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

a. Install the screws to the mode actuator (3).

b. Tighten the screws to 1.9 Nm (18 lb in).

c. Install the air outlet duct. Refer to Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Floor, LH in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
