Seat Replacement - Front Bucket

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Restraint System in Service Precautions.

1. Disable SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in SIR.

Important: Before removing the seat, ensure that the following conditions are met:

* For power seats, verify that the seat bottom is fully down.

* The seat back is in the full upright position.

* The upper and lower seat rails are flush at rear.

Remove the seat mounting fastener covers.




3. Remove the 3 front seat mounting nuts.
4. Remove the front seat mounting bolt.
5. Disconnect the electrical harness. Unclip the harness from the seat bracket.
6. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
7. Place the seat on a clean, prepared surface.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the seat to the vehicle.

Important: Do not move or adjust the seat adjuster release handle or the seat back until all 4 fastener attachments have been made. Do not tighten the front seat mounting bolt until the remaining 3 mounting nuts have been tightened.

2. Install the front seat mounting bolt. Do not tighten.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the three front seat mounting nuts on the floor studs.

Tighten the front seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

Tighten the front seat mounting bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

4. Connect the electrical harness. Clip the harness to the seat bracket.
5. Enable SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in SIR.
6. Install the seat mounting fastener covers.
