Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) Replacement
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) ReplacementCaution: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution in Service Precautions.
Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the EBCM from the vehicle.
Important: In the following service procedures, insert rubber plugs or caps on the exposed brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
3. Remove the left front brake pipe.
4. Remove the right front brake pipe.
5. Remove the rear brake pipe.
6. Remove the brake pipe to the brake master cylinder.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Install the brake pipe to the brake master cylinder.
^ Tighten the brake pipe fitting 24 Nm (18 inch lbs.).
2. Install the rear brake pipe.
^ Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 24 Nm (18 inch lbs.).
3. Install the right front brake pipe.
^ Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 24 Nm (18 inch lbs.).
4. Install the left front brake pipe.
^ Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 24 Nm (18 inch lbs.).
5. Install the EBCM to the vehicle.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Bleed the brake system.
