TITLE: Engine Cooling Fan Contacts Shroud After Replacing Radiator

APPLIES TO: 03-04 Ascender 4.2L

SERVICE TIP:

Condition:

The engine cooling fan may contact the fan shroud after installing a new radiator.

Correction:

The radiator needs to be lifted approximately 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) to avoid the contact. Using 5/8" (approx.) rubber hose cut two pieces 1/2" long and place them on the lower radiator alignment pins. This height will provide enough clearance to prevent the shroud from contacting the cooling fan.
