Knock Sensor
Knock SensorAs before, the
knock sensor contains an element that converts detection of knock into an electrical signal, and is mounted toward the right and left on the block between the two banks of cylinders. When the ECM (Engine control Module) receives a signal that indicates knock, the ECM orders ignition timing to be adjusted to compensate.
