Power Mirror Motor: Service and Repair



Motor Replacement - Power Mirror

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the mirror glass.
2. Remove the screws retaining the mirror motor to the mirror housing.




3. Rotate the bottom of the mirror motor upward to disengage the mirror motor (1) from the mirror housing retainers (2).
4. Disconnect the mirror motor electrical connectors.
5. Remove the mirror motor from the mirror housing.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the mirror motor to the mirror housing.
2. Connect the mirror motor electrical connectors.
3. Install the mirror motor to the mirror housing by engaging the mirror motor (1) to the mirror housing retainers (2) and rotating the motor downward.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the screws retaining the mirror motor to the mirror housing.

Tighten the mirror motor screws to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

5. Install the mirror glass.
