Acceleration/Deceleration Sensor: Service and Repair
Longitudinal Accelerometer ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Remove the left split bench or bucket seat.
2. Access the sensor through service slit provided in the carpet.
3. Remove the electrical connector from the sensor.
4. Remove the 2 nuts retaining the sensor to the floor panel.
5. Remove the sensor from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the sensor to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the 2 retaining nuts.
^ Tighten the screws to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).
3. Install the electrical connector to the sensor.
4. Install the left split bench or bucket seat.
