Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

STOP LAMP SWITCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the stop lamp switch electrical connectors (1).




2. Rotate the switch counterclockwise.
3. Remove the switch from the bracket.
4. Remove the switch from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the switch near the bracket.
2. Ensure the switch key-way is properly indexed to the plastic retainer.
3. Install and adjust the switch.




4. Connect the stop lamp switch electrical connectors (1).
5. Check the switch for proper operation.
