Ignition Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the lock cylinder.
3. Remove the switch mounting plate.





4. Remove the shear bolt from the ignition switch and lock housing assembly.
5. Remove the ignition switch and lock housing assembly.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the ignition switch and lock housing assembly.

2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the shear bolt into the ignition switch and lock housing assembly.
^ Tighten the screw to 1 Nm (9 inch lbs.).
3. Install the switch mounting plate.
4. Install the lock cylinder.
5. Enable the SIR system.
