Clutch Fork Replacement - Front Drive Axle

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the electric motor actuator.





2. Remove the left differential carrier assembly bushing and mounting bracket.





3. Remove the disconnect housing bolts.





4. Remove the disconnect housing.





5. Remove the clutch fork, clutch assembly, thrust washer, and gasket from the disconnect housing.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the clutch fork, clutch assembly, thrust washer, and gasket in the disconnect housing.





2. Install the disconnect housing.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the disconnect housing bolts.
^ Tighten the disconnect housing retaining bolts to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the left differential carrier mounting bracket.





5. Install the electric motor actuator.
