Transfer Case Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.





2. Loosen the transfer case shield bolt (1).
3. Remove the remaining transfer case shield bolts (2) from the transfer case.
4. Remove the transfer case shield (3) from the transfer case.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the transfer case shield (3) to the transfer case and bolt (1).

2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the transfer case shield bolts (2).
^ Tighten the transfer case shield bolts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle.
