Transfer Case Vent Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.





2. Disconnect the transfer case breather hose (1) from the transfer case vent pipes.
3. Disconnect the transfer case vent hose (2) from the following:
^ The transfer case vent pipe
^ The encoder motor (3)

Installation Procedure





1. Important: Ensure the vent hoses are free of kinks and routed clear of sharp objects.

Connect the transfer case breather hose (1) to the transfer case vent pipes.
2. Connect the transfer case vent hose (2) to the following:
^ The transfer case vent pipe
^ The encoder motor (3)
3. Lower the vehicle.
