Inlet Cover

Installation

1. Install the inlet cover.
- Apply liquid gasket (ThreeBond 1207C or equivalent) to the groove of the inlet cover with bead diameter 2.5-5.5 mm (0.10-0.216 in).
- Install the inlet cover within 5 minutes after applying the liquid gasket.
- Tighten the bolts in the order described in the figure.

Tightening torque: 24 N.m (17 lb.ft)







NOTE:
- Be careful not to forget to fasten the bolt indicated with an arrow.
- Tighten up the stud part together with the fuel rail.







2. Connect the IAT sensor 2 connector.
3. Install the oil level gauge guide tube.
4. Install the outer inlet cover and the gasket. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 24 N.m (17 lb.ft)

5. Install the fuel rail.
6. Install the IAF valve and the gasket. Tighten the nuts and the bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 24 N.m (17 lb.ft)

7. Install the EGR valve and the gaskets. Tighten the nuts and the bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 24 N.m (17 lb.ft)

8. Connect the EGR valve connector and the IAF valve connector.
