Turbocharger

Installation

1. Install the exhaust adapter.
- Install the gasket and the exhaust adapter. Tighten the nuts to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 32 N.m (24 lb.ft)

- Install the exhaust adapter heat protector. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 8 N.m (69 lb.in)

- Install the turbocharger heat protector.
- Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 8 N.m (69 lb.in)

- Install the turbocharger heat protector.
- Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 8 N.m (69 lb.in)

2. Install the gasket and the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold. Tighten the nuts and the bolt to the specified torque.Tightening torque Nut (Turbocharger to exhaust manifold): 52 N.m (38 lb.ft) Bolt (Exhaust adapter to exhaust manifold): 24 N.m (17 lb.ft)







3. Install the oil return pipe.
- Install the O-rings and the oil return pipe.
- Tighten the eye bolts to the specified torque.







4. Install the water feed pipe.







- Install the pipe mounting clip bolt.

5. Install the oil feed pipe to the turbocharger. Tighten the eye bolt to the specified torque.Tightening torque: 17 N.m (12 lb.ft)
6. Install the water return pipe bracket (1).







7. Install the water return pipe.
- Tighten the eye bolt to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 27 N.m (20 lb.ft)

- Install the fan guide bracket bolt.
- Install the pipe mounting clip bolts.

8. Install the rubber hose between the water return pipe and the thermostat housing.







9. Connect the air intake duct(1) to the turbocharger and tighten the clip(5) to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 8 N.m (69 lb.in)

10. Install the charge air hose(2) and tighten the clips(3), (4) to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 6 N.m (52 lb.in)







11. Install the front exhaust pipe A and the exhaust brake assembly.







12. Tighten the nuts and the bolts.







13. Replenish the engine cooling water.
