Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU)

Renew

Disconnect battery earth lead.

Remove right-hand luggage compartment trim panel.

Remove screw securing ECU harness clamp, move clamp aside.

Unclip ECU and cover.

Locate handle on harness plug and withdraw plug.

Pull ECU clear of mounting bracket.

CAUTION: THE IDLE FUELLING POTENTIOMETER IS PRE-SET AND MUST NOT BE MOVED.

Refitting is the reversal of the above operations.

Check idle CO level.
