Deceleration Valve: Testing and Inspection
Overrun Valve:
1.
Remove air filter covers and elements.
2.
Block
overrun valve inlet openings with masking tape.
3.
Start engine.
4.
Note
idle speed and remove tape from one side.
5.
If
idle speed changes, valve is leaking.
6.
Retape and repeat test on opposite side.
7.
Replace valves as needed.
