EGR Valve: Service and Repair

EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) VALVE

Remove the air cleaner cover.

Disconnect the EGR valve transfer pipe from the down pipe take-off stub (1).

Remove the electrical connectors from the rear of the EGR valve (2).

Remove the bolts and spring washers securing the valve to the elbow (3)

Remove and discard the gasket (4).

Remove the transfer pipe from the valve (5).

Fit the transfer pipe to the replacement valve.

Fit a new gasket to the valve, fit the valve to position, fit and tighten the securing bolts.

Fit the electrical connectors.

Reconnect the transfer pipe to the take-off stub. Refit the air cleaner cover.
