Vacuum Regulator

Vacuum Lines:

Located under right intake manifold.

1. Locate vacuum regulator under right intake manifold and disconnect vacuum hose to distributor port. It is marked DIST.
2. Connect a vacuum gauge to DIST port.
3. Start engine and note vacuum reading. Should be approximately:

11 in Hg Engine at normal operating temperature

4. Increase engine speed. Vacuum should increase.
5. If test is not satisfactory, check all vacuum hoses to vacuum regulator for condition and proper routing.
6. If hoses are correct, and regulator does not operate correctly, replace regulator.
