Pick-Up Coil: Service and Repair
Distributor:
1. Remove distributor cap.
2. Remove ignition rotor and flash shield.
3. Remove ignition rotor, snap ring, washer, key, and reluctor.
4. Remove two screws securing pick-up mounting assembly to distributor housing and remove assembly.
5. Reverse steps to refit. Be sure to adjust pick-up module air gap to:
0.008 in (0.20 mm) to 0.014 in (0.35 mm)
6. Adjust ignition timing. Should be:
18°± 2° BTDC at 3000 rpm with vacuum hose disconnected.
